About Us

In 1947, the City of Vero Beach donated 1/2 block of property to the newly formed Vero Beach Veterasn with the stipulation that it would be controlled by local veterans and not a national entity. 

The Purpose of the corporation was Not For Profit and it was declared to be a frateranl organization; patriotic, historical, educational; to stregthen comradeship amoung its members; to assist with the worthy; to maintain alliegence to the United States of America; and preserve and defend the United States from all enemies. 

In 1988 the present facility was constructed. All licensing and legal requirements were met and the "V" was opened. Social Memebershipis welcome (non-veterans), but "Social Members" do not have voting rights.

Some of the organizations the the "V" has helped include but not limited too: Scout Troops, the Marine Corp League, Korean War Veterans, Vietnam Veterans, the ORder of the Purple Heart, D.A.V., Italian American War Veterans, the V.F.W. and many more. Much has been done to assist the veterans of Vero Beach including a Veteran's Food Pantry for needy veterans as well as many non veterans causes in Vero Beach.

Today we are proud and honored to be the home to the Next Generation Post 9/11 group which consists of Desert Storm, Desert Sand, Operation Enduring Freedom, Iraq and Afghanistan veterans. They will evolve into the "Next Generation" of leadership at the Vero Beach Veterans Club.
